Todays recipe is kadai mushroom. Kadai mushroom is a delicious dish. Today I bring a instant and easy version of kadai mushroom. In the flavourful kadai mushroom specially used coarsly ground Indian spices like whole coriander seeds hole cumin seeds whole fennel seeds and dry red chilli. I have always used to prepare extra quantity of kadai masala and stored in a air tight container for later use.
But I have show you the easy and instant and dry one of my version. Instead of tomato puree I have used diced tomato in this recipe.
Lets read the recipe below –

Ingredients:
- Button mushrooms – 300 gm
- Capsicum – 2 diced
- Tomato – 1 diced
- Onion – 1 diced
- Chopped ginger garlic – 1 tbsp
- Kadai masala – 1/2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – 1 tbsp
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Salt (According to your taste)
Ingredients for the ground kadai masala –
- Coriander seeds – 1 1/2 tbsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
- Fennel seeds – 1/2 tbsp
- Dry red chilies – 6 to 7
Step wise with pictures –

At first dry roast the whole seeds and dry red chili mentioned below the ground masala . When they release nice aroma take out and let it cool. Then make a coarsly ground powder.

Heat oil in a pan and add chopped ginger garlic.

Add mushrooms now and roast on high flame for 2 to 3 minutes.

Then add the capsicum and onion . Add 1 tsp turmeric powder and cook on high flame for 2 minutes.

Add tomato and chili flakes and salt. Then add 1/2 tbsp ground kadai masala. Cook on high flame for 2 minutes then take out.

Dry kadai mushroom is done. Take it out and serve.
